The LiteRadio 3 Pro is the high-performance evolution of BetaFPV's entry-level radio line. It maintains the compact, beginner-friendly gamepad shape but adds a proper OLED screen and runs on the powerful EdgeTX operating system. It's built for pilots who want a small radio that doesn't sacrifice the advanced tuning and telemetry features of full-sized transmitters.

Product Description

BetaFPV LiteRadio 3 Pro Radio Transmitters Version ELRS / CC2500 Radio Protocol ExpressLRS (Built-in) or Multi-Protocol Style Gamepad

The LiteRadio 3 Pro bridges the gap between toy-grade controllers and professional gear. It feels like a console controller in your hands but has the "brains" of a high-end radio, allowing you to customize everything from gimbal curves to voice alerts.

  • EdgeTX & OLED Screen: The biggest upgrade over the standard LiteRadio 3. The built-in 128x64 OLED screen allows you to navigate menus and adjust settings directly on the radio, rather than needing to plug it into a computer.

  • Internal ELRS or CC2500: You can choose between a dedicated 2.4G ExpressLRS version (offering incredible range and low latency) or a CC2500 version that binds to FrSky, Futaba, and other legacy protocols.

  • Hall Effect Gimbals: It features high-precision Hall sensors that provide a smoother feel and won't wear out over time like cheaper potentiometer sticks.

  • External Module Bay: On the back, there is a "Nano" size bay that supports external modules like TBS Nano Crossfire, allowing you to fly different types of drones without buying a new radio.

Technical Specifications:

  • Weight: 230g

  • Battery: 2000mAh 1S (Built-in, USB-C charging)

  • Display: 1.3-inch OLED

  • Operating System: EdgeTX

  • Output Power: Up to 250mW (ELRS version)

  • Gimbals: Hall Effect

  • Simulator Support: Works as a plug-and-play USB Joystick

The Pilot's Reality Check:

  • Compact size: It is significantly smaller and lighter than the RadioMaster Zorro. While great for travel, pilots with very large hands might find the stick spacing a bit tight.

  • Power Output: The internal ELRS module goes up to 250mW. This is plenty for almost all freestyle and racing, but if you're a long-range specialist looking to go 10km+, you might eventually want an external module.

  • EdgeTX Learning Curve: While EdgeTX is powerful, it can be a bit overwhelming for total beginners. Luckily, there are thousands of YouTube tutorials to help you set it up.

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions
  • What makes the "Pro" better than the standard LiteRadio 3?

The biggest change is the 1.3-inch OLED screen and the move to EdgeTX. In the standard version, you were flying "blind" and had to use a PC to change simple settings. The Pro also upgrades to Hall Effect gimbals as standard, which are much smoother and more durable than the potentiometer ones found in the cheaper version.

  • How much power does the internal ELRS module have?

The internal ExpressLRS (ELRS) version is significantly more powerful, pushing up to 250mW (and some versions even claim up to 500mW with proper cooling). This is a huge jump from the 100mW limit of the non-Pro version, giving you much more confidence when flying behind trees or at a distance.

  • Can I use a Crossfire or Tracer module with this?

Yes. The back of the radio features a Nano Module Bay. You can plug in a TBS Nano Crossfire, Nano Tracer, or even a Multi-protocol module. Because it runs EdgeTX, it can communicate with these external modules perfectly, making it a very capable "tiny" professional radio.

  • How is the battery life with that screen?

It has a built-in 2000mAh 1S battery. Even with the screen and a 250mW internal ELRS signal, you can expect about 15 hours of flight time. It charges via USB-C, so you can easily top it off using a phone charger or a power bank while at the field.

  • Is it good for simulators?

It’s excellent for "thumbers" (pilots who use their thumbs on the sticks). Like most modern radios, it’s plug-and-play via USB-C. When you plug it into your PC, the OLED screen will ask you to choose "USB Joystick." It works perfectly with Liftoff, VelociDrone, and Uncrashed.
