RadioMaster TX16S MKII MAX Carbon Radio Transmitters Version MKII MAX (4-in-1) Radio Protocol Multi-Protocol (CC2500, CYRF6936, A7105, NRF2401) Style Full-Size
The TX16S MKII MAX is the flagship of the RadioMaster lineup. While the standard version is already a beast, the MAX Carbon edition is built for pilots who want better durability and a more "premium" feel. It runs EdgeTX natively, giving you a massive 4.3-inch color touch screen for easy setup.
Internal 4-in-1 Multi-Protocol: This is why people buy this radio. It can talk to almost any receiver on the market (except ELRS/Crossfire, which require an external module). If you have a fleet of older drones or fixed-wing planes, this radio replaces five different controllers.
AG01 or V4.0 Hall Gimbals: Depending on the exact sub-version, it comes with either the V4.0 Hall sensors or the legendary AG01 Full CNC gimbals. These are buttery smooth and don't wear out like old-school potentiometer sticks.
Touch Screen & EdgeTX: The MKII comes with EdgeTX pre-installed, meaning the color screen is fully touch-enabled. Navigating menus and naming models is much faster than using a scroll wheel.
Refined Ergonomics: The MKII version improved the plastic shell, added a 3.5mm headphone jack on the back, and updated the charging circuit to support faster 2.2A charging via USB-C.
Weight: 750g (without battery)
Battery: 2x 18650 or 2S LiPo (Internal USB-C Charging)
Display: 4.3-inch IPS Color Touch Display (480 x 272)
Internal Module: 4-in-1 Multi-protocol (CC2500, CYRF6936, A7105, NRF2401)
External Bay: JR Compatible (Supports Crossfire, ELRS, etc.)
Channels: Up to 16 channels
Operating System: EdgeTX (OpenTX compatible)
Gimbals: AG01 CNC Hall or V4.0 Hall (depending on choice)
Size and Weight: This is a "full-size" radio. If you have small hands or prefer a compact gamepad style, this might feel like a brick. It's great for "pinchers" who want a solid base to rest their hands on.
The "ELRS" Question: This is the 4-in-1 version. If you want to fly modern ExpressLRS quads, you will need to buy an external ELRS module for the back bay. If you only fly ELRS, you might be better off buying the ELRS version of this radio instead.
Battery Drain: That big color screen looks amazing, but it eats battery life. It's highly recommended to use high-capacity 18650 cells or a dedicated 5000mAh 2S LiPo pack if you plan on long flying sessions.
