The BETAFPV Pavo Pico is the smallest and lightest "O3-native" cinewhoop on the market. It was specifically designed to be the absolute minimum amount of airframe required to carry the DJI O3 Air Unit, resulting in a sub-100g 4K filming platform that can fly through gaps impossible for larger drones.
O3 Optimized Mount: Features a split-design injection-molded bracket with integrated rubber dampers. This setup isolates the high-frequency vibrations of the 1102 motors, ensuring the O3’s internal stabilization works perfectly.
Sub-100g Capability: When paired with a 2S 450mAh battery, the total weight stays below 100g. This makes it incredibly quiet and much less intimidating when flying around people or sensitive indoor environments.
Durable PA12 Material: The frame is constructed from thickened PA12 (nylon), which offers excellent impact resistance. The ducts are flexible enough to bounce off walls rather than shattering on impact.
Advanced AIO FC: Equipped with the F4 2-3S 20A AIO V1 flight controller (in later batches), which includes a dedicated 9V 2A BEC to ensure the power-hungry DJI O3 remains stable even when the battery voltage drops.
Lens Protection: Includes a customized UV protector and a protective bracket that limits the camera's tilt angle to 30°, keeping the expensive O3 lens safe during crashes.
Technical Specifications:
Wheelbase: 80.8mm
Motors: 1102 14000KV Brushless
FC & ESC: F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1
Propellers: Gemfan 45mm 3-Blade (1.5mm shaft)
Battery Connector: XT30
Weight: 73.47g (with DJI O3) / ~99g (All-up-weight with battery)
Flight Time: Approx. 3.5–4 minutes (on 2S 450mAh)
Pilot's Reality Check:
Yaw Washout: Because it is so light and has small motors, the Pavo Pico is prone to "yaw washout" (a sudden jerky tumble) if you perform aggressive dives or sharp turns at low throttle. It is a "chill" cinematic cruiser, not a freestyle machine.
Prop-in-View: At very low camera tilts (below 10°), you may see the edges of the ducts in your footage. It is best flown with a slight upward tilt or stabilized with GyroFlow to crop the edges.
Battery Fitment: The battery slot is very tight and specifically molded for BetaFPV’s 450mAh 2S packs. If you use other brands (like GNB), you may need to trim the plastic or use a rubber band.
Flyer's POV: Flying the Pavo Pico is like flying a "flying camera lens." It feels weightless and incredibly precise for slow, indoor movements. You can confidently zip under chairs or through tiny bookshelf gaps that would be terrifying with a 3-inch drone. It doesn't have much "punch," so you have to plan your climbs in advance, but for capturing buttery smooth 4K footage in a small apartment or office, there is simply nothing better.
