The GEPRC DoMain3.6 HD O3 is a new-generation freestyle drone that occupies a unique niche between the standard 3.5-inch and 5-inch classes. It is specifically designed to deliver the high-inertia "big drone" feel of a 5-inch quad in a more compact, 3.6-inch frame that is easier to fly in tight urban environments.
Enhanced Stability & Protection: The DoMain features a unique structural design with integrated aluminum side panels. This not only protects the core electronics from side impacts but also supports DIY side panel decals, allowing for high levels of aesthetic customization.
Prop-Free 4K Cinematics: The "DC" arm geometry ensures the frame is neat and compact while guaranteeing that the propellers never appear in the O3 camera's 155° wide-angle view, providing a "pure" cinematic picture without cropping.
Full-Size GoPro Support: Despite its smaller size, the frame is rigid enough to carry a full-sized GoPro or a Naked GoPro. The high-performance 2105.5 2650KV motors provide sufficient power to maintain aggressive freestyle agility even with the extra weight.
GPS Rescue Safety: Integrated with a GEP-M10 GPS module (on specific versions), the drone features an automated rescue mode. This ensures that if the signal is lost during a long freestyle run, the drone can automatically return to its takeoff point.
Advanced Flight Stack: It utilizes the TAKER F722 SE flight controller paired with a TAKER E55A 32-bit ESC. This combo handles high current draws during punch-outs and provides the computing power needed for smooth, filtered flight.
Technical Specifications:
Wheelbase: 170mm
Motors: SPEEDX2 2105.5 2650KV (6S Version)
FC & ESC: TAKER F722 SE + TAKER E55A 32Bit 4IN1
Video System: DJI O3 Air Unit
Propellers: GEMFAN 3630–3
Weight: ~295g (without battery)
Recommended Battery: 6S 1050mAh – 1300mAh LiPo (XT60)
Arm Thickness: 4.0mm
Pilot's Reality Check:
The "Heavy" Small Quad: At 295g (dry), this drone is relatively heavy for its size. This gives it "momentum," making it feel very stable and 5-inch-like, but it means you need to be mindful of your throttle management during low-altitude recoveries.
Tight Component Integration: The high level of integration means the internal layout is very clean, but it can be challenging to work on if you need to replace a specific wire or component in the field.
Battery Choice: While it can fly on a 1050mAh pack for maximum agility, most reviewers recommend the 1300mAh pack to balance the high-power draw of the 2105.5 motors and extend flight times beyond 4 minutes.
Flyer's POV: Flying the DoMain3.6 is an "aggressive" experience. It tracks like it's on rails—if you throw it into a roll, it snaps and stops with zero bounce. It feels much more robust than a 3.5-inch cinewhoop; it’s a dedicated freestyle ripper that just happens to be small. The O3 footage is the cleanest in its class because the aluminum side plates act as a massive brace, cutting down on frame resonance.
