HGLRC Rekon 3 Nano Longrange BNF Copters Version 1S Size 3" Style Nano Long Range
The Rekon 3 Nano is Dave_C FPV’s take on the "Nano Long Range" concept. Instead of using high-power drone batteries, it runs on a standard 18650 cell—the same kind found in flashlights or vape mods. This makes it one of the most accessible and cheapest drones to keep in the air for long sessions.
18650 Battery Slot: No velcro straps or XT30 connectors here. The frame has a built-in battery cradle. You just "click" the battery in like a TV remote and you’re ready to fly.
Whisper Quiet: Because it's a lightweight 1S build running 3-inch props, it barely makes any noise. You can cruise around a public park and most people won't even notice it's there.
WiFi Tuning: It comes with an onboard WiFi module, so you can change your Betaflight settings or VTX power from your phone using the SpeedyBee app without needing a USB cable.
Purpose-Built Frame: The frame is a mix of carbon fiber and 3D-printed PETG to keep the weight under 63g. It’s designed to be efficient, not for smashing into concrete.
Weight: 62.5g (without battery)
FC & ESC: Zeus5 AIO 1-2S
Motors: Rekon 1202.5 11600KV
Propellers: Gemfan 3018 3-inch 2-blade
VTX: Zeus Nano 350mW
Camera: Caddx Ant Nano
Receiver: PNP / SPI ELRS 2.4G / TBS Crossfire
Recommended Battery: 1S 18650 (Sony VTC6 or similar high-C cell)
Flight Time: 15 - 20 minutes (Cruising)
Throttle Management: This isn't a freestyle quad. If you pin the throttle for too long, the voltage on the 18650 cell will sag so hard the VTX might black out or the drone will just drop. You have to fly it smooth and keep your movements "floaty."
Wind is the Enemy: Since it’s incredibly light and lacks the torque of a 4S system, even a moderate breeze will push this drone around. It’s best used on calm evenings or in sheltered areas.
Fragile Frame: To hit that 15-minute flight mark, HGLRC had to cut weight everywhere. The 3D-printed parts and thin carbon aren't meant for racing or hard crashes. Think of it as a "flying camera sensor," not a bash-around drone.
