The HGLRC Sector D5 is a 5-inch freestyle drone designed with a "DeadCat" layout, which is highly popular among cinematic pilots because it keeps the propellers out of the camera's view. This 4S version is tailored for pilots who already have a stock of 4S batteries or prefer a slightly more manageable power-to-weight ratio for learning freestyle.

DeadCat Geometry for Clean Video: The front arms are swept back so that the propellers never enter the frame of your FPV or HD camera. This makes the Sector D5 an excellent platform for high-speed cinematic chases where a clear field of view is critical.
Reinforced CNC Aluminum Parts: Unlike many frames that rely solely on 3D-printed TPU, the Sector D5 uses CNC aluminum side plates to protect the camera. This provides a much stiffer structure, reducing high-frequency vibrations and offering superior protection during head-on impacts.
Dust-Proof Straps and Integrated LEDs: HGLRC added thoughtful "quality of life" features, including side dust-proof plates to keep your stack clean and pre-installed LEDs on the arms. Is the 4S version powerful enough for a GoPro?
Yes, but it's built for a specific style. The 4S model uses AEOLUS 2207.5 2550KV motors. It has plenty of "punch" for freestyle tricks even with a GoPro mounted, but it will pull more current (amps) than a 6S setup. If you're coming from 4S batteries, this is a great choice; if you're starting fresh, most people now go 6S for smoother power delivery.
What is the "DeadCat" layout actually for?
It’s all about the view. On a traditional racing drone, you'll see the front props "spinning" in the corners of your goggles. The D5’s arms are swept back. This keeps the camera clear of props while maintaining a 225mm wheelbase, making it the "asjalik" choice for pilots who care about the aesthetics of their flight footage.
