The Baby Nazgul Nano is a featherweight 1S quadcopter that brings high-performance freestyle to the micro-class. Despite its tiny size, it features a 2.5-inch propeller design that provides much more "grip" in the air than traditional 65mm or 75mm tiny whoops. Equipped with a TBS Crossfire Nano receiver for ultimate link reliability, it is the perfect tool for low-altitude "bando" proximity flying or ripping through your local park without attracting attention.

Product Description

The iFlight Baby Nazgul Nano Analog 2.5" is a specialized "micro-freestyle" drone. Designed to be as light as possible, it captures the essence of its larger "Nazgul" siblings but shrinks it down to a 1S (single cell) platform. This makes it incredibly quiet and safe for backyard flying while still being surprisingly capable of acro maneuvers.

  • Ultralight 1S Power: By running on a single cell (1S) battery, the Baby Nazgul stays exceptionally light (around 30-35g without battery). This low mass means it is very hard to break during crashes and has very little inertia, allowing for surgical precision.

  • 2.5-inch Propeller Advantage: Most 1S drones use tiny 31mm or 40mm props. The 2.5-inch blades on the Baby Nazgul provide significantly more lift and "hang time," making it feel more like a full-sized 5-inch drone during gravity-defying moves.

  • TBS Crossfire Nano RX: This version comes pre-installed with the Team BlackSheep Crossfire Nano receiver. This ensures that your radio link will never be the bottleneck, allowing you to fly behind trees or around buildings with total confidence.

  • High-Quality Analog Video: It uses a tiny but capable CMOS camera and a 200mW VTX, providing a clear and consistent video feed for your analog goggles.

  • Open-Frame Design: Unlike a "whoop" with ducts, the Baby Nazgul has an open carbon fiber frame. This reduces wind resistance and weight, improving outdoor flight performance and speed.

Technical Specifications:

  • Wheelbase: 63mm

  • VTX: 5.8GHz 200mW

  • Receiver: TBS Crossfire Nano

  • Input Voltage: 1S LiPo (300mAh - 450mAh recommended)

  • Weight: ~32g

The Pilot's Reality Check:

  • Outdoor Specialist: Because it lacks prop guards, this is not an indoor "Tiny Whoop." It is meant for the outdoors. It handles light wind surprisingly well for its weight, but it's most at home in calm conditions.

  • Battery Choice: To get the best performance, use high-quality 1S batteries with a GNB27 or BT2.0 connector if possible, as the standard PH2.0 connectors can limit the current and "punch" of the motors.

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions
  • Is it better for indoor or outdoor flight?

While it is small enough for indoors, the Baby Nazgul is "asjalik" outdoors in low-wind conditions. Unlike a guarded tinywhoop, its open-prop design has less "sail effect," making it much faster and more precise for outdoor freestyle. However, because the props are unguarded, it is not recommended for flying around people or sensitive indoor furniture.

  • How long is the flight time?

Since it runs on a 1S 300mAh or 450mAh battery, flight times are focused but short. You can expect about 2–3 minutes of aggressive freestyle or up to 4 minutes of casual cruising. It is a "high-intensity" drone, so having 5–10 batteries in your bag is the best way to enjoy a session.

  • Why choose the Crossfire Nano version?

The TBS Crossfire Nano RX provides significantly more range and link stability than the built-in SPI FrSky receivers found on many micros. Even though the video range is limited by the 50mW VTX, Crossfire ensures you will never have a "failsafe" (connection loss) while flying behind trees or around buildings.

  • Can I adjust the camera angle?

The RunCam Atom is held in a fixed TPU mount. While it provides a great "middle-ground" angle for freestyle, it is not adjustable with a screw. Many pilots 3D print custom mounts if they want a flatter angle for slow indoor proximity or a steeper angle for high-speed racing.

  • How durable is it?

Because it only weighs 26g, it carries very little kinetic energy into a crash. The 1.5mm carbon fiber bottom plate is extremely tough for this weight class, and the "XING" brushless motors are much more durable than the "brushed" motors often found on toy-grade drones.
