The Nazgul XL5 V2 HD is a premium Bind-and-Fly (BNF) drone designed for pilots who want pro-level freestyle performance without the hassle of building. Featuring a True-X carbon fiber frame, powerful XING-E 2207 motors, and a crystal-clear digital HD system, it delivers a locked-in flight feel and stunning visuals right out of the box.

Product Description

The iFlight Nazgul XL5 V2 HD is the high-definition evolution of one of the most popular 5-inch freestyle drones ever made. Built on the rugged XL5 V5 frame, this version replaces the analog VTX with a digital system (typically the Caddx Vista or DJI O3 depending on the specific sub-version), offering a crisp, low-latency pilot experience.

  • Proven XL5 V5 Frame: The "V2" in the name refers to the updated XL5 V5 frame design, which features 5mm thick "easy-swap" arms. This design offers a balanced True-X geometry, making the drone's movements predictable and symmetrical in all directions.

  • XING-E Pro Power: Equipped with iFlight’s legendary XING-E 2207 motors (available in 1800KV for 6S or 2750KV for 4S), this drone is famous for its smooth throttle response and extreme durability thanks to high-quality NSK bearings.

  • BLITZ F7 Flight Stack: Modern versions are equipped with the BLITZ F7 Flight Controller and a 45A/55A ESC. This setup handles the high processing demands of digital HD systems and provides plenty of overhead for aggressive freestyle maneuvers.

  • 360° TPU Protection: The frame is "armored" with high-quality TPU parts, including arm-end motor protectors, a front bumper, and an antenna mount. These absorb impacts and keep your carbon fiber from delaminating during crashes.

  • LED Illuminated Logo: A signature iFlight touch—the center plate features an illuminated logo that adds a premium look and helps with visibility in low-light conditions.

Technical Specifications:

  • Wheelbase: 240mm (True-X)

  • Motors: XING-E Pro 2207 (6S 1800KV / 4S 2750KV)

  • Flight Controller: BLITZ F7 / SucceX-E F4 (Version dependent)

  • ESC: BLITZ 45A/55A 4-in-1 BLHeli_S

  • Video System: Digital HD (Caddx Vista / DJI O3)

  • Propellers: Nazgul 5140 3-Blade

  • Weight: ~400g (without battery)

  • Top Speed: Approx. 190 km/h

The Pilot's Reality Check:

  • Digital Clarity: If you are coming from analog, the HD version is a massive leap. You'll be able to see small branches and wires that were previously invisible, drastically reducing "stupid" crashes.

  • 6S vs 4S: Most modern pilots prefer the 6S version for its "no-sag" performance and efficiency, though the 4S version is still a great, high-revving option for those with existing 4S battery fleets.

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is the main difference between the V1 and V2 HD?

The V2 uses the XL5 V5 frame, which features much thicker 5mm arms and a larger internal body. While the V1 was slightly lighter, the V2 is significantly more "asjalik" for crashing. It also moved away from the older DJI Air Unit toward the more compact Caddx Vista/Nebula system to save weight while maintaining 720p/120fps digital video.

  • Is it 4S or 6S?

It comes in two versions. The 4S version uses XING-E 2207 2750KV motors, while the 6S version uses XING-E 2207 1800KV motors. The 6S version is generally preferred in 2026 for its better efficiency and reduced "voltage sag" during high-throttle maneuvers.

  • Does it have GPS or a Buzzer?

Unlike the newer "ECO" or "Evoque" versions, the standard Nazgul V2 HD does not come with a GPS module pre-installed. It also notoriously lacked a physical buzzer in early batches (using the "DShot beacon" motor beeping instead). Many pilots add an external Vifly Finder 2 buzzer for safety.

  • Will I see propellers in my FPV feed?

Yes. Because it uses a True-X geometry (where motors are equidistant from the center), the front propellers are visible in the FPV goggles. However, if you mount a GoPro on top using a standard mount, the props will not be visible in your HD action footage.

  • How do I bind it to my DJI Goggles?

Since it uses the Caddx Vista system, you bind it by pressing the small bind button on the Vista unit (inside the frame) and the bind button on your DJI FPV Goggles V1, V2, or Goggles 2. If you are using the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, you can bind the radio directly to the Vista as well.
