The Miniware TS100 is the iconic "smart" soldering iron that revolutionized portable electronics repair. While the TS101 is the newer model, the original TS100 remains a favorite for its ultra-slim profile and legendary performance within the FPV and RC communities.
Proven Performance: Despite its small 33g frame, the TS100 delivers up to 65W of power. Its internal STM32 chip and dual temperature sensors ensure that the tip temperature remains stable even when soldering large, heat-wicking battery connectors.
Intelligent Motion Sensing: Like a modern smartphone, the TS100 has a built-in accelerometer. It automatically enters "Sleep Mode" when idle to preserve the tip and save energy, waking up the instant you pick it up to resume work.
OLED Visual Interface: The built-in screen provides clear, real-time feedback on temperature and system status. It also allows you to navigate the parameter menus to adjust sleep timers, temperature steps, and low-voltage protection limits.
Micro USB Programming: On the rear of the iron is a Micro USB port. By connecting it to a PC, you can customize the boot logo and edit the configuration file to tailor the iron's behavior to your specific needs.
Open Source Community: The TS100 has a massive following. Many pilots install community-developed firmware like Ralim's IronOS, which adds advanced features like a battery level indicator, more precise power curves, and left/right-hand screen orientation.

The Pilot's Reality Check:
The "Magic" of 24V: While it can run on a 3S LiPo (12V), the TS100 truly shines on 24V (6S LiPo). At higher voltages, it heats up significantly faster and recovers temperature much more efficiently during heavy soldering.
Ergonomics: The handle is very slim. If you have large hands, you may find the newer TS101 or the use of a 3D-printed sleeve slightly more comfortable for long building sessions.
