Caddx Vista Nebula Nano V2

Digital FPV System

Brandasd
The Caddx Vista Nebula Nano V2 is the "weight-saver" choice for pilots moving from analog to digital. It’s a tiny 14mm camera paired with the Vista VTX, giving you a 720p HD feed in builds where a full-sized DJI camera simply won't fit. While it’s not the prettiest image in the digital world, it’s the lightest way to get DJI goggle compatibility into a micro drone.

Caddx Vista Nebula Nano V2 BNF Copters Version 4S-6S Size 14mm (Camera) Style Digital FPV System

Product Description

The Vista Nebula Nano V2 was released to fix the color and contrast issues of the original V1. It’s a specialized kit for weight-sensitive quads—think toothpicks and 2-inch whoops—where every gram counts but the pilot still wants the range and clarity of the DJI system.

  • Ultra-Lightweight: The entire kit (camera + VTX) weighs in at just 24g. For micro builds, saving those 4-5 grams compared to the standard DJI camera is the difference between a quad that feels snappy and one that feels like a brick.

  • Nano Form Factor: The camera is 14x14mm. This means it fits natively into the tiniest frames on the market. If you’re trying to convert an analog micro to digital, this is usually the only camera that won't require you to cut the frame or print a custom canopy.

  • V2 Improvements: The V2 version specifically addressed the "washed out" look of the first Nebula. It has better white balance and dynamic range, though it still uses a smaller sensor than its "Pro" or "Full-sized" siblings.

  • DJI Ecosystem: Even though it’s small, it’s fully authorized by DJI. You get the same 4km range, 8-channel support, and the ability to use the DJI FPV Remote Controller without an extra receiver.

Technical Specifications:

  • Weight: 24g (VTX + Camera); Antenna: 2.5g

  • Input Voltage: 7.4-26.4V (2S-6S)

  • Power Output: 25mW / 200mW / 500mW / 700mW

  • Resolution: 720p / 60fps

  • Latency: 32ms (Fixed)

  • FOV: 150° (D) / 122° (H) / 93° (V)

  • Dimensions: Vista Kit: 30x29x13mm; Camera: 14x14x21mm

  • Mounting Pattern: 20x20mm (Vista VTX)

The Pilot's Reality Check:

  • Image Compromise: Let’s be real—the image quality is closer to "high-end analog" than "4K cinematic." Because the sensor is small, it struggles in low light and can look a bit "crunchy" or over-sharpened compared to the Nebula Pro or the original DJI camera.

  • No 120fps: Unlike the Pro version, this is locked at 60fps. If you are a hardcore racer who needs that ultra-low 21ms latency, the 32ms latency on this V2 might feel a tiny bit "behind" the sticks.

  • Heat Management: The Vista VTX gets hot—fast. Since this kit is usually used in small drones with tight builds, you need to make sure you have some airflow over the unit while it’s sitting on the bench, or it will go into thermal protection and drop your power.

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions
  • What’s the difference between the V1 and the V2?

The "V2" was a much-needed fix for the original Nebula Nano, which had poor color and contrast. The V2 updated the camera sensor and lens, significantly improving the dynamic range and image sharpness. While it’s still not quite as crisp as the "Nebula Pro," the V2 is perfectly flyable and much lighter than the Pro version.

  • Is it compatible with the newer DJI Goggles 2 or Goggles 3?

Yes, but with a "firmware catch." The Vista works natively with the DJI FPV Goggles V1 and V2. To use it with the DJI Goggles 2 (the small OLED ones), you must update the Vista to the latest firmware via DJI Assistant 2. Note: Once you update it for Goggles 2, it will no longer be compatible with Goggles V1/V2 unless you downgrade the firmware again.

  • Does it record video internally to an SD card?

No. Unlike the full-sized DJI Air Unit, the Caddx Vista has no SD card slot. To save your flight footage, you have to record the "DVR" directly on your DJI Goggles. This is the main trade-off for its "asjalik" weight savings—it’s about 20 grams lighter than the Air Unit, but you lose the high-quality onboard recording.

  • How much power can I run through it?

The Vista unit is quite flexible, supporting an input voltage of 7.4V to 26.4V (roughly 2S to 6S batteries). You can power it directly from your battery or a regulated 9V/12V pad on your flight controller. It can output up to 700mW of power, which is plenty for 4km+ of range in open areas.

  • Why is it called a "Nano" camera?

It refers to the mounting size. The camera is 14x14mm, which is the "Nano" standard in the FPV world. Most modern micro frames are built for this size. If your drone frame is designed for a "Micro" (19x19mm) camera, you’ll usually need a small plastic adapter bracket to make this Nano camera fit securely.
