RunCam LINK Phoenix DJI HD Vista Kit

Digital FPV System

Best Price
$233.23
The RunCam LINK Phoenix HD kit is essentially a DJI Vista rebranded with a camera that excels in tricky lighting. While most digital cameras struggle when the sun starts to set, the Phoenix HD uses a massive 1/2-inch sensor to pull in extra light, making it the best choice for pilots who fly during "golden hour" or in shaded woods.

Product Description

RunCam LINK Phoenix DJI HD Vista Kit BNF Copters Version 2S-6S Size 19mm (Camera) Style Digital FPV System

The RunCam LINK is technically the same hardware as the Caddx Vista (both authorized by DJI), but this specific bundle pairs it with the Phoenix HD camera. It’s a popular alternative for those who find the standard Nebula cameras a bit too "digital" or sharp.

  • Superior Low-Light Sensor: The 1/2-inch image sensor is significantly larger than what you’ll find in the Nebula Nano or even the Nebula Pro. This larger surface area means better performance in low-light and much less "noise" in the shadows.

  • Natural Image Quality: RunCam is known for a "warmer" and more natural color science. If you find other digital FPV feeds look too clinical or over-processed, the Phoenix HD offers a more analog-like, vibrant feel.

  • High-Speed Latency: Just like the Vista, the LINK module supports DJI’s low-latency mode. You get that locked-in feeling required for fast proximity flying or racing, with a feed that stays stable even at the edge of its range.

  • Durable Build: The Phoenix camera features a robust 19mm micro-sized housing, making it a drop-in fit for almost any modern freestyle frame. The lens is also slightly recessed to help protect the glass during front-on impacts.

Technical Specifications:

  • Weight: 27g (VTX + Camera); Antenna: 3.9g

  • Input Voltage: 7.4V - 26.4V (2S-6S)

  • Power Output: 25mW / 200mW / 500mW / 700mW

  • Resolution: 720p / 60fps

  • Latency: <32ms

  • FOV: 157° (D) / 133° (H) / 107° (V)

  • Dimensions: LINK VTX: 29Ă—29Ă—13mm; Camera: 19Ă—19Ă—23.5mm

  • Mounting Pattern: 20x20mm (VTX)

The Pilot's Reality Check:

  • 60fps Only: The trade-off for that big, beautiful sensor is that it doesn't support 120fps. If you are a racer used to the ultra-high frame rate of the Nebula Pro, the 60fps here might feel a little less "fluid" during rapid snaps.

  • Motion Blur: Because the sensor tries to let in so much light, you can sometimes get a bit of motion blur in very dark conditions compared to cameras with smaller sensors and higher shutter speeds.

  • LINK vs. Vista: Don't get confused by the branding—the LINK and the Vista are 100% interchangeable. You can use DJI or Caddx replacement parts (like coaxial cables or antennas) on the RunCam LINK without any issues.

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions
  • Is the "RunCam LINK" actually different from a "Caddx Vista"?

Under the shell, they are identical. Both use the same DJI-licensed hardware. RunCam began producing the "LINK" after the partnership between DJI and Caddx ended. They are cross-compatible, meaning you can use RunCam parts to repair a Vista or vice versa, and they use the exact same firmware via DJI Assistant 2.

  • How does the Phoenix HD camera handle low light?

It is one of the best "starlight" cameras for the DJI system. It features a large 1/2-inch sensor with ultra-high sensitivity (6$10650$ mV/Lux-sec).7 While it’s primarily designed to give you vivid, natural colors during the day, it excels at dusk or in dimly lit warehouses where standard HD cameras would just show a black screen.

  • Does it work with the newer DJI Goggles 2?

Yes, but you have to update the firmware. Out of the box, it’s ready for the DJI FPV Goggles V1 and V2. To use it with the Goggles 2 or Goggles Integra, you must use a computer to load the specific "O3-compatible" firmware. Just be aware: once updated for the newer goggles, it won't talk to the older V1/V2 goggles unless you roll the firmware back.

  • Can I fly with my friends without interference?

Absolutely. The system supports 8 frequency channels. This allows up to eight pilots to fly simultaneously in the same area. Each person gets their own dedicated digital "lane," which virtually eliminates the "snow" and signal bleed-over common in old-school analog racing.

  • Do I need an extra receiver for my DJI Remote?

No. The LINK has an embedded remote control receiver. If you are using the black DJI FPV Remote Controller (V1), the radio signal travels through the same unit as the video. This saves weight and space because you don't have to solder in a separate receiver like an ELRS or Crossfire nano.
